Domestic Property Claims –
Adverse weather conditions can cause all sorts of residential storm damage –
from broken roof tiles to uprooted trees falling on your property.
Determining whether damage has been caused by strong winds and heavy rains can be a tricky one and can often be disputed by insurance companies and their loss adjusters.
Insurers may dispute the occurrence of the storm or whether the storm was severe enough to cause the damage. They may also question whether the damage was caused through other means.
Roof damage is a problem often caused by storms however, the problem may not become apparent until weeks after the storm, meaning the cause of the issue can be harder to determine.
If instructed, ADA could help ascertain the reason.
Our project manager will meet with you at your property to inspect the extent of the damage and take photographic evidence to compile a full report and schedule of works for your insurer. This process will help determine whether you have a valid claim. This report will be presented to your insurer on your behalf and your ADA loss assessor will negotiate the settlement with your insurance company, or their loss adjuster, on your behalf.
Best of all, there is no charge to you, the policyholder, for the ADA service, provided we can instruct and oversee our vetted contractors to complete any reinstatement works. However, any excess stated within the policy will still apply.
Why not just get a quote from a contractor for the storm damage?
Most discrepancies occur when the adjuster has not assessed the same amount, or type, of damage as the contractor. Whether it is for the roof, gutters, siding, or other exterior damage, we work with the adjuster in finalising the cost of the repairs and progress your claim through to final settlement.
Our local project manager will work tirelessly throughout the claims handling process knowing that you are likely to have suffered stress and concern over the damage to your property.
We keep you in the loop throughout the process as we agree a fair settlement and repair the property to its pre-
